Anthony (Tony) Vannata has seen a lot happen in the wireless industry since 1990, when he moved to Pasco County and started a working at RadioShack. After 16 years at The Shack, Tony left to open, and later close, his own business installing home theatre and Dish systems. Those experiences have given him the skills to build one of the most successful wireless Business to Business teams in the Southeast.

He attributes this success to being a resource to businesses in his area. He tells a story aboutRon Cox, from Cox Heating and Air, who he met at a PCC event in February of 2009. Cox was already a Sprint Customer, and told Tony that he already had a Sprint Business Expert that took care of his account, but that he would call Tony if he ever needed anything.

“About a month later he called me to make a small change on his account.” Tony recalls about the next contact he had with Ron. “While I was in there I reviewed the account and noticed that The Cox Heating and Air’s account was still on old, expensive plans. They were also eligible for a discount of 25% that was not applied to their bill. Ron’s business was paying over $400 a month more than they needed to. I couldn’t believe it, but I fixed it right away.”

Tony knows that most companies will not call a customer and tell them that they are paying too much money. He also knows that a customer that gets that call will be a delighted, loyal customer.

“It’s easy to sell one time to a customer; it takes a lot of work to keep one for life. That's what I try to do for all my customers. Whether you are with Sprint or another provider all I ask is for the opportunity to present what I can do for you. If you like it, that is great. If not, I will sure appreciate the time you they have given me.”

Tony started at T-Cellular as a retail manager and started the Business team a year ago. Having been an entrepreneur himself, he finds it rewarding to help business owners save money and get products that make their lives easier.

Tony has been married to his wife, Paige, for 19 years and has three wonderful children. Brittany is 18, Anthony is 16, and Taylor is 11.
